pretty rubbish
This project is focused on exploring different perceptions of land, in particular landfill and excess community waste from kitchen sponges to KFC gravy lids. The project aims to create a playful and random exploration of waste and its impact on the environment. As a print specialist, the project is centered on the processes and room for expression offered by printmaking techniques, such as screen printing and block printing, and uses them to create illustrative and collage-style prints that depict landfill landscapes, as a disposable order, where waste accumulates in its own unique and often unpredictable way. The project encourages viewers to consider their own perceptions of waste and the environment, while also highlighting the potential for creative expression and innovation in the field of printmaking.
